Strange question for whomever is active here:
Would you mind if I post up some fanfiction of mine?
I've been met with harsh crtisisim and actual insults on a couple other boards and sites. I love writing fanfiction about Sailor Moon, but I usually never share it to any fellow Moonies out there lately, due to the many insults an harshness I have received in the past. Nowadays, I just keep it on my compy and never let it touch the net. I guess I have the fear of my stories being put down harshly again.
I mean, my fanfics are poorly typed. I've NEVER been good at writing stories. EVER! You can say it looks like it was done by an elementary student. The people, that gave the harsh critisism, offered to retype it for me. Tell it more clearly. But, I always decline, because it's retyped by someone else, it's no longer MY fanfiction how I typed it, how I wanted it to be. Honestly, as long as I have the correct grammer, punctuation, etc, then why should one care how I type it? As long as I get my ideas across and explain things that need explaining, then does it matter all that much?
I'm not looking to improve my writing/typing skills. I'm just looking for people that will give me good critisism on the story as a whole.
So far, despite being small, everyone here seems to enjoy a good fanfic here and there. Yeah, in terms on writing/typing stories, I use a couple supposably Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters. Yeah, they are like one-man armies and seem invinciable in every way. But, if people actually read the story, they will UNDERSTAND that those couple characters have weaknesses. It's just hard to exploit them. That's all it is about them. And, that's one of the main reasons I got harsh critisism. I just feel no one is even giving the story a chance, just because of some uber powerful characters that I made up for these fanfictions.
